Our Congress Ignores Us, Again

Once again the Democratic majority has failed on its promise to end the war in Iraq. Why they even engaged in the charade is a mystery, seeing as they could not even pass a non-binding resolution to do something about this illegal Iraq war.

Then they went on to draft a bill with a firm date for a pull-out, knowing full-well that even if it passed, it would be vetoed, and they would not have nearly enough votes to overturn the veto. Now, they have just completely rolled over, leaving King George and his minions to do whatever they want. Then, they have the nerve to call it a victory and a step in the right direction.

Well, in light of the state of today's mass-media-consuming public, this little scripted play is probably just enough to convince the masses that the congress is actually trying to do something about the situation.

For the well-informed, however, it is simply more proof that both political parties never had the public interest in mind. They are simply pandering to the corporations, who are making record profits from the misery of the Iraqi people and our patriotic soldiers. When will the sheeple wake up and stand up for what is just? Perhaps when they start rounding us up and putting us into the concentration camps that Kellogg, Brown and Root are building [pacificnews] in the south. By that time, however, it will be far too late...

Let's see, what else is going on today?

In a move to convince congress they need to fold, Bush has ordered the release of new propaganda, claiming that Bin Laden wanted to set up an Iraq base [yahoo/cnn] for attacks on America and other targets. Perhaps it was Bin Laden that managed to make those WMD's disappear, so that they could later be moved to his Iraq base on completion?



Ah yes, then there is Iran...

Apparently, Bush has started running CIA black ops in Iran [the blotter]. JUST started, I'm sure. The stated goal is to destabilize the government. From the Blotter comes this little tidbit:

'A report broadcast on Iranian TV last Sunday said Iranian authorities had captured 10 men crossing the border with $500,000 in cash along with "maps of sensitive areas" and "modern spy equipment." '

Sounds like we may be planning some terror attacks of our own, I surely would not put it past the CIA.

Meanwhile, in this Yahoo/AP article, we find out that the Navy is once again playing war games, as a "show of force," off the coast of Iran. Practice, practice, practice.


Then, just in from Lebanon, Raw Story is reporting that Bush funded the militants that are now causing all of the chaos in the country right now. Heil Bush, world domination at its best.

Two wars is not enough for this administration, let's start a few more. And Giuliani still thinks we were attacked because of our "freedom."
