Auto Companies Create Fake Grassroots Campaigns Against Fuel Standards

GM, Chrysler and The Auto Alliance create websites to sway consumers to contact Congress. The sites all suggest that there are better ways to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions than focusing on better fuel economy for our automobiles.

Yes, God forbid they cut down the manufacture of the big SUV's that make them the most profit, or invest more in alternative fuels. Instead, they try to fool the customers. This sounds much like the way Big Oil funded the spewers of junk science for years, in an effort to discount the theory of global warming.
